Illustrating Masjid Wazir Khan
Share
I was mesmerized by the grand architecture of the Wazir Khan Mosque. Its beauty inspired me to draw designs that were inspired by the intricate patterns that adorned the interior of the mosque. As I delved deeper into my research, I discovered the true meaning behind the images that adorned the walls and façade of the mosque. Understanding the heritage and history of this sacred place is important.
The mosaics, floral, and geometric designs that adorned the walls, floor, and ceiling of the domes filled me with wonder about the past, and the calligraphic scriptures were a testament to the spiritual significance of this place. Sitting there, one might feel a spiritual connection to Allah's presence.
Each page of the book I created is a representation of every corner of the mosque. Even after multiple visits, I can't get enough of the beauty that surrounds me. Reading the meanings of the symbolic representation of the designs always casts a spell on me. Although the book is not about the mosque's architecture, it is an artistic representation of the mosque's beautification.
We need to understand the true meaning of praying in a mosque and standing in front of Allah Almighty, yearning for a reward and earning our place in Jannah, where we can eat the fruits of paradise.
